Movie: "The 10th Kingdom"

I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this movie "The 10th Kingdom" ???

Its basically a 6-hour modern twist on the old Brothers Grim fairytales, and many other nursery rhymes (think "Cinderella", "Snow White", "Little Red Ridinghood", "Hansel and Gretel", "Little Bo Peep", etc.).

There is a magic mirror between our world, and the fairytale world, and a young woman named Virginia (from our world) and her father get tangled up with some characters from the fairytale world who accidently came through the mirror into our world. They are forced to follow those characters back through the mirror, into the fairytale world, where they spend quite a while there, trying to figure out how to get back home. They also discover that they have a close connection with some of the key characters there...

There is also a character from the fairytale world named "Wolf" (he looks like a regular man, but he is part wolf), and he falls completely in love with Virginia. he's kind of wild and crazy at first, but he turns out to be a real sweet-heart .

Very long movie, but a lot of fun. If you have the time, you can watch it in parts, on different nights (or the same night, if you're really bored, lol).

I have actually never heard of it, what year was it made? It's pretty cool that the whole thing is on youtube, I love it when that happens. xD This week is my exam week so after Friday is over and done with, maybe I can take a look at this. Thanks for posting.

It was first broadcast on TV as a mini-series back in 2000. But I loved it so much, my dad bought it, and I got totally addicted to it, lol. I'm just crazy about the wolf character, I think he is so frisky and funny, lol.

I didn't know anyone else knew about this series! I loved it way back when it was on, my mom did too, she taped all the episodes for me cause I wasn't allowed to say up that late (was 14 at the time, just had really strict parents). Kimberly Williams-Paisley is so gorgeous, I wanted to be Virginia after seeing the show, thanks for reminding me of this, I should make my husband watch it with me

Oh this will ALWAYS be one of my favs. This and "Princess Bride" are our generations' "Wizard Of Oz" I think.
