Meluna soft? Empty Meluna soft?

Post  witchariel Sun Sep 26, 2010 5:17 pm

I was searching some information about melunas when I saw there's a model named "soft meluna" made of a softer material in 2 different beautiful colors. I've never seen these ones before, I believe they are new, aren't they? Apparentely they just come in sizes S and M with the ring stem.
I think they are so pretty!!

Meluna soft? Empty My new meluna soft arrived!

Post  sunn Wed Oct 06, 2010 3:05 pm

Today I recieved my cyan medium meluna (ring) Very Happy And with it came a light pink / orange regular medium meluna with a stem Laughing The soft meluna is a lot softer than the regular, which I find very stiff. The rim (of the soft one) is compairable to that of the large yuuki, and the body is maybe a tiny bit softer then that of the yuuki. Softness is really hard to compair, I compaired by putting the rims next to each other and then pressing with one finger on each side to see which one is most affected.

The cyan colour is really nice. It's very similar to the photos on melunas homepage when it has a white background, but is more intense blue with a darker background.

I'm so glad I got another medium with my medium. That way I can have one with me for emergency cases (like loosing your cup on the floor /in the toilet in public restrooms) or if I have one of those days when a soft cup just will not open. It will also be interesting to see if there's a difference between them when it comes to leaking/ sealing issues.

All in all I think this is a great cup for people who need a wider cup even if they only need the capacity of a small (like at the beginning/ end of a period) or have a low cervix.

We have some on order, too. I believe that MeLuna are gradually bringing out different colours, sizes and styles in the new soft cup.
I asked if they would replace the stiffer ones and they have said no, they will be sold as well as the normal ones

I think its a wonderful idea to offer so many choices. The more choices you have, the wider range of customers you can reach.

yes and doesn't this kinda promote the idea that cups need to be chosen carefully and there are quite a few factors to be considered? Very Happy

True, while many women can learn to use almost any cup, they are kind of like romantic relationships:

Some people are often lucky by getting the perfect match with the first try. But others may develop certain preferences that they feel would make a better fit for them and suit them more, so they go in search of it. Smile

I use pants as an analogy...

Theoretically the whole world could get by wearing all the same pants, in 2 or 3 sizes, and they'd be 'ok,' but really, we all prefer to have pants that fit well and are of a style and colour that we like.

Cups are just the same. There isn't a 1 cup fits all solution, but any cup is adequate and everyone has a specific cup that is best.
