Tried My Ladycup Out
It took my ladycup a while to make it to my home address. I'm home this week from college and was excited to see the cup had arrived. I cleaned it off and went to try it out. Two things:
1- I've concluded that I have a long vag. I'd NEVER cut the stem off this thing, lol.
2- The cup is delayed in popping open. I'd struggle with it, walk away and then FEEL it pop open randomly.
3-Removal takes digging and time. Once I get the cup in reach, the suction seal just DOESN'T want to break until after a while.
So concludes the trial run. lol. Comments? Suggestions?

Re: Tried My Ladycup Out
Insertion, yeah they do take some coaxing to pop open because they are so soft. But its good to practice getting it to do so. The best way is try not to use extreme folds, those are harder to pop open. Use simple folds, C fold, 7 fold, etc. Keep a finger along side the cup to help let air in and keep the holes exposed to air longer. If the holes are touching skin, hey can't let air in and its harder for it to pop open. This is not a problem with stiffer cups, but many people like the softness of the ladycup.
As for removal, if you keep tissue in yoru hands and re-dry your fingers a couple times, it really helps. Dry = better grip. But if you are "long" inside, it might take a few more tried. Every time you do it, it dries a little more. The only way I can break the suction of ladycup is pinching the base and rocking it from side to side... However, sometimes, it helps to tilt mroe to one side than to the other... Like when I just keep tilting to the right, right, right, its like it brings the holes one one side down really far, and exposes it to air to break the suction. Once the suction is broken (you'll know, the cup will suddenly give, and scoot down, it migth even expand a bit), then go ahead and start tilting left and right.
hope that helps

It sure does. I'll be sure to keep that in mind the next time I toy with the cup.

I find that if I insert my ladycup, then stand up and squeeze it pops open just fine. I'll check it again after I feel it open, but it is always fully 'popped.'

Luckily, I don't have a problem with this. I use the origami fold and it pops into place as soon as I place it in. My problem is removal

Re: Tried My Ladycup Out
For me, removal of ladycup is easier, if I keep toilet paper in my hand, and re-dry my fingers a few times during the process. The more dry they are, the better grip I have. And also the only way I can break the suction with ladycup is to rock it from side to side while gently pulling down.
Re: Tried My Ladycup out
I think my problem is that when I pull it out, I try to do it fast towards the end and it pops out and smacks my poor vjj. hehe

Same here!!!
Today was my first trial run with my little LadyCup. I had the same issues. A woman told me that the lady cup will actually open but you don't feel the "pop" as much because it is such a soft cup. I had a bit of pain upon the first removal but no problem inserting using the punch-down fold. I think I might be long inside too because the whole thing is just gone once it's in! The LadyCups are generally a lot smaller than the other cups though. I wish I would have known this now but the woman I have been chatting with said that if you are buying a LadyCup, you might has well get a large size even if you are using a small brand of something else. Maybe you could try that? Good luck! Let me know if you learn any tricks to get that "pop" because it's bothering me too :/.

Re: tried my ladycup
it's messy but I think I found a way to stop my ladycup from popping out and smacking me as I take it out. I was stupid enough to cut too much of the stem that I have to poke around to get ahold of it when I want to take it out. then I slowly ease it out by bearing down and punching the sides to release the suction. I do it real slow and hold on to the rim so it won't pop out. it hurts a bit to do that but not as much as letting it pop out when I pull it out

Re: Tried My Ladycup Out
you can also fold it, not as thoroughly as for insertion of course, just something quick like a C-fold or 7-fold or punchdown. i have the large one and although when the seal is finally broken i remove it the same way as my small lunette, it's more uncomfortable just because it's bigger (and i'm a virgin but need the width). although as soon as I got to know there's nothing wrong with being unable to break the seal the same way, it's gotten way easier psychologically.
Re: Tried My Ladycup Out
When I take mine out I grip it between my thumb and middle finger, like I'm snapping my fingers. It creates a slight twist ans gives really good grip, even when moist. It also distorts it enough to break the seal a bit, without losing too much capacity (and spilling).

Re: Tried My Ladycup Out
Hello !
I have a lady too and I had the same problems. Well not problems as I solved them out but it was a bit annoying the first days.
I also found it hard to pop open and to break the suction.
I don't think i'll cut the stem of mine either. It's just that I don't feel it and it doesn't bother me so.. i'll leave it there. Although, once I had to take my cup really far in my vaginal so the little stem was useful at this time
Happy cuping !
Sweet kisses from Jay xx

I'll have to try this one... if I may ask, is this a large or a small? (don't know how much of a difference there actually is when it comes to softness...)

Re: Tried My Ladycup Out
That's with the large.
The difference in softness between the 2 sizes isn't huge (IMO), but there isn't as much cup to grip on the small.

Re: Tried My Ladycup Out
True, there is a slight difference is softness between large and small in the rims particularly. not enough for me to put them in different categories on the squishiness chart, I don't think. But I'm not sure if it is the material, or the size.
You know how its really hard to bend the metal of a ring you would wear on you finger.... Because its so small. But if that same ring were as big around as a dinner plate (but the same thickness), suddenly it would be very easy to bend. Its seems in order for a bigger circle to be as strong as (or stronger than) a smaller circle, you either have to thicken its walls, or make it from harder material.
