The Femmecup
If you own this cup, feel free to jump right in and do a post about it! To get this thread started, here is a link to my WordPress information page about menstrual cups, containing a review (with photos) for Femmecup. Comments are welcome, and so are new posts:

Re: The Femmecup
Thanks Melissa,
I'm still having problems with my FemmeCup. It's perfectly safe to me (no leakage) but it's painful I can't wear it for long, it hurts the inside of my vaginal and labbia ! do you think I need to cut the stem ? I didn't cut any stem yet !!
thanks for your Femmecup experience !

Welcome to the forum
If its the stem that you feel and is bothering you, I would say cut it. The femmecup's stemm is pretty stiff and the spirals can sometimes irritate. Just make sure you will be able to reach it with the stem trimmed.

Re: The Femmecup
I know it's the stem ! but it breaks my heart to have to cut it ! the stem is precisely what makes the femmecup so pretty and original !!
I so don't wanna cut it ! it'll remove all originality ! and it'll just look like an old MoonCup or a "average" cup !

Re: The Femmecup
Hehehe, I know how you feel, if you see the videos and pictures I did, I never cut the stems from any of the other brands.. The only one I did it with is my Divacup, and I even regret that. It was too long, of course, but I'm thinking of getting another just for the videos, because people like to see the cup the way it was originally, in pictures.
Its a hard decision to make sometimes, but there are also other cups who's stem might not bother you. Or maybe later you can save up for a second femmecup, and keep it whole, and trim the other

Re: The Femmecup
I sympathize! I tried to trim just tiny bits of my FemmeCup's stem off, and I finally hit on a length that didn't bother me too much. I would suggest that if you do trim it, try to bevel the edges so they are like \_/ instead of |_|. That might keep you from needing to trim as much off. That helped with mine a lot.

Whatever you do...
DON'T trim it whilst you're WEARING it! I did that on my second ever attempt with the femmecup. So tempting given the stalk stuck way out and it seemed a good way to accurately size the thing. Ow-WOW.
