If you own this cup, feel free to jump right in and do a post about it! To get this thread started, here is a link to my WordPress information page about menstrual cups, containing a review (with photos) for Keeper. Comments are welcome, and so are new posts:

The Keeper Empty cleaning a latex cup

Post  msmith_1221 Tue Nov 29, 2011 10:29 pm

I have just switched to the Keeper cup, the Latex cup. And I am wondering how i should clean it. I have been told to not boil it. I am so used to boiling my cups because they were all silicone. I dont know how comfortable I would be using viniger on my cup. So I am wondering what I should do to keep the Keeper just as clean as I have with the other silicone cups. Any help is welcome and Im very grateful.

Keeper suggests that you do not boil their cup. They say their material will last longer if you don't. They suggest taking a vinegar/water solution (10% vinegar, 90% water) and rinsing your cup in that ONLY for a few seconds. Then let it dry. Vinegar can help sterilize it. But also you can wash it really good with soap and water.

The Keeper Empty New Keeper

Post  msmith_1221 Mon Dec 26, 2011 5:51 pm

I'm wondering if anyone who has a keeper knows what the white stuff on the cup is. when you first get it there is a fine coat of white powder or something left over from being made. I have had a hard time getting it to come off fully. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same isssue. I think what ever that stuff is gave me an allergic reaction to the white stuff.
