Can get it in... Pops open!

Okay, so I've had my Size 1 Divacup for a year now, I've only tried to get it in every now and then, because EVERY time ends in frustration. It's not pain that's stopping me, or size. The thing just won't stay shut long enough for me to get it in far enough to seal. I've tried all kinds of folds, and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME: "... pop. URRRGH!!" Lol. I REALLY want to get into it because I don't like wasting so much plastic and paper for pads. It's just that so far, my experience with it has been less than great. It just keeps popping open before it's supposed to!!!! Has anyone else had this problem?? I'm at my wits end!!!

And just to add a few specifics that might help: I'm not a virgin or mother, and I have a high cervix.
